Geri Horner ‘drops her famous nickname’ as she continues to enjoy married life
The Spice Girl reportedly asked friends to stop referring her as 'Geri'
GERI Horner is one of the most famous musicians in the world thanks to her time as a Spice Girl, but the star reportedly wants to drop her famous monikers.
While she is still mainly referred to as Ginger Spice or Geri Halliwell by the majority of her fans, claims that star has asked friends to refer to her by her full name, Geraldine.
However, an insider rubbished the report and explained to The Sun Online: "She still answers to Geri.
"Her husband sometimes refers to her by her full name as an affectionate nickname, but that is all.
The source continued: "She is definitely not changing her name publicly or privately. She has a documentary coming up called 'Geri's 90s: My Drive to Freedom' and she is also planning to release new music as Geri."
Meanwhile, Geri also tweeted on Sunday morning: "Morning , you can call me Geri, Ginger, Gezza , Geraldine , or ....all good with me ! xxxx"
Geri first revealed that Christian calls her Geraldine when she posted a sweet Valentine's message to her husband on Instagram.
The picture shows the couple beaming, with Valentine's goodies on display.
On one of the heart-shaped balloons it says "Christian I love you, love Geraldine".
Until that point, the star had not been seen referring to herself as Geraldine and gave fans an insight into her homelife with Christian.
The new mum looked happy and glowing in the snap, with her hubby's arms wrapped around her.
Last month, the couple were snapped smiling as they went to register their son Montague's birth.
Geri – who also has 10-year-old daughter Bluebell from a previous relationship – admits she was shocked to be able to get pregnant naturally despite her age.
