LIAM Gallagher’s son Gene hinted at the Oasis reunion three weeks before the UK tour was announced.
Just last week Oasis surprised fans by announcing their comeback, despite the long-standing feud between brothers Liam and Noel that led to their breakup over a decade ago.
And weeks ago Gene, 23, hinted at the surprise reunion in an interview with .
Speaking to the Sunday Times Style, he mentioned that he's close with his uncle Noel's daughter Anaïs, described the group as "one big happy family," and noted that they often joke about an Oasis reunion.
When asked if Oasis could be getting back together, Gene said: "Nothing to do with me.
"I mean, will they? I don’t know. I would love it but it’s so beyond my control.”
He added: "I get the feeling my dad wants it too. Let’s hope it happens.”
When Gene was asked about his friendships, he mentioned that they mostly include old school friends, his brother Lennon, and his cousin Anaïs.
This could suggest that any feud between his dad, Liam, and his uncle Noel might be resolved.
About his cousin Anaïs, Gene said: "We’ve been rocking together since we were kids. We go to our gran’s house together, we message all the time."
Gene was then asked if the two ever discussed the possibility of Oasis reuniting.
He said: "No, we have jokes about it but we don’t go at it. She knows what her dad’s like and I know what my dad’s like. Hey, we’re a big happy family everyone."
