Ed Westwick marries Amy Jackson in Italy and gushes over ‘journey’ just days after his Gossip Girl co-star tied the knot

GOSSIP Girl star Ed Westwick has gotten married after only getting engaged this year.
The actor and Amy Jackson tied the knot in Italy's Amalfi Coast on Saturday, August 24.

Ed, 37, proposed to the Bollywood actress at the beginning of 2024 while they were on a ski vacation.
The Gossip Girl notable, who played Chuck Bass on the show, shared photos of him and Amy on his Instagram on Sunday.
"The journey has just begun," he captioned the , along with a ring emoji.
Amy, 32, wore a white bridal gown with a strapless design and a chic lace veil, custom-made by Italian designer Alberta Ferretti.
She also carried a bouquet of white roses in her hand and had her black hair slicked back with a full face of makeup.
Ed had on an Armani white suit jacket and black dress pants with a black bow tie as he gazed at his new wife with adoration.
The couple stood under a flower arch, which was adorned with white roses and greenery, after Amy made her way down the aisle to Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi.
They got married in a medieval castle in the hills of Italy.

Ed and Amy invited 220 guests, who jetted from the U.S., India and Europe for the three-day-long celebration.
Among them were Kelly Rutherford, Daisy Lowe, Jack Whitehall and his partner Roxy Horner, Mohammed Al Turki and Dr. Barbara Sturm.
Ed Westwick's Fairy-Tale Wedding!
Amy told how the stunning location was "the perfect place" to host the ceremony, lauding its "timeless romance and vintage charm".
She said: "We wanted a wedding spot that was not only naturally beautiful, surrounded by the ocean, hills and vineyards, but also unique, and we found just that.
"We sailed along the coastline of Ravello, Positano and Sorrento and then anchored at Capri for a dip [in the sea] as the sun set behind the Faraglioni rocks."
This is the first marriage for both of them.
However, Amy has a son from a previous relationship with ex Andreas Panayiotou, 4-year-old Andreas.
He served as Ed's best man, along with the actor's friend Mike.
She told the magazine: "We both wanted [Andreas] to be an integral part of this special moment,"
Ed added: "He walked down the aisle with me, carried the rings and waited for his mother with me."
Amy concluded, "I think it’s a really beautiful way to honor their bond and make sure he feels part of our celebration."
Ed spoke with about his upcoming nuptials and said that the whole journey had been "special."
"Planning this evening has got us really excited for our wedding," he told the outlet.
"It’s been so special to gather our friends and family to celebrate."
Ed and Amy met in 2021 at the Silverstone racetrack in England.

PRE-WEDDING CELEBRATIONS
Events for the wedding kicked off on Friday, as reported by .
The couple chartered a private five-hour boat tour around the Italian city of Salerno for their guests on Friday.
The ceremony took place outdoors at a fairytale castle in Campania, Italy, an hour’s drive from Salerno.
Ed and Amy hosted a banquet and then headed to a party with their guests, which lasted into the early hours of the morning, filled with dancing.
“Ed and Amy jetted into Italy on an eight-seater private jet with their immediate family on Thursday afternoon before hosting some low-key drinks for a small group of friends in the courtyard of Castello di Rocca Cilento,"; a source shared exclusively.
The wedding took place at 4:30 pm on Saturday in a five-star resort.
The attendees can relax from the festivities by the pool for six hours and finish the celebrations off with a light lunch on Sunday.
COUPLE GOALS
In January, Ed shared a series of photos to his Instagram of him down on one knee presenting a ring to the British model.
"Hell YES," they captioned the joint post, with a ring emoji.
The couple got engaged on a bridge in Switzerland while at a ski resort.
Amy had her hands up on her face as she wore a white snowsuit, while Ed rocked a gray coat and green ski pants.
MARRIED LADY
Ed isn't the only Gossip Girl alum to have got married this month.
Jessica Szohr, who played Vanessa Abrams in the drama, got married earlier this month, with some of her former co-stars in attendance.
As Jessica and Brad Richardson said "I do," actress Nina Dobrev, 35, served as Jessica's maid of honor.
Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford was also in attendance.
Jessica posted photos to her Instagram Story with the caption, "Tying the knot."
