Who won The Voice UK 2017? How Mo Adeniran became champion in last year’s show

THE Voice in 2017 was won by the hugely popular singer Mo Adeniran.

The contestants were trimmed down during the final show from four to three to two and finally, Mo was confirmed as the nation's favourite - and the winner of that all-important record deal. Here's how the final show went down...

The final was a two-parter. On Saturday all four finalists sang for the public vote, with only three going through to the next evening's show.  They then performed with their superstar coaches in their final performance before the winner was announced.

Mo Adeniran

About: Mo won his place in the team after battling against Diamond in the sing-offs.

Jennifer decided to keep Mo after he impressed with his version of A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke.

Mo sang Iron Sky by Paolo Nutini in his first audition, getting all four judges to turn around and despite pleas from the others, Mo opted for Jennifer as his mentor.

Even though she lost the battle, all was not lost for Diamond, she was stolen by Gavin.

In the Knockout show Mo was saved by the public and in the quarter-final Jennifer chose Mo to got through.

Mo’s semi-final song was Human by Rag ‘n’ Bone Man.

About: Michelle initially impressed Will with her rendition of It's a Man's Man's Man's World by James Brown at the audition phase.

In the battle heat, Michelle and Tim performed Nowhere To Run by Martha and the Vandellas, and even though Will didn't pick Tim, he was stolen by Jennifer Hudson.

Michelle was kept in the competition by the public during Knockouts and they saved her again in the quarter-final.

Michelle's song in the semi-final was Get Here by Oleta Adams.

She made it all the way to the final weekend but even with a staggering rendition of Prince's Purple Rain failed to win enough public support to enter the very last showdown on April 2.
