The rapper, who performed with Ed at the BRIT Awards last month, attended a signing for his new record Gang Signs & Prayer at an HMV store in the city yesterday.

He spent time chatting with fans and their kids - posing for pictures with a tiny baby who he cradled in his arms.

Stormzy was also snapped with another cute infant, who sat on the signing table with the star.

The event came hours before Stormzy met up with Ed Sheeran for a special performance of number one track Shape of You - one of the songs the pair performed at the BRITs.

Last night, they reunited to perform the track on Capital FM's The Capital Evening Show.

Stormzy went on to give his friend a public show of support by tweeting a rave review of his new album Divide.

In a post published today, he wrote: "Ed's new album is phenomenal."

The pair took to the stage last week at London’s O2 Arena to debut their remix of Shape of You.

And the London-born grime artist said he was a little bit terrified as he came out and started rapping to tens of thousands of fans, musicians and industry executives.

During an appearance on Sunday Brunch, Stormzy, real name Michael Omari, said: “It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done in my life.

“I don’t even remember the performance, I just remember walking on stage and doing it.

“You can kind of tell, when I walk on stage there’s a little split second where I notice the crowd like it, so I get excited, so I’m going for it now!

“At first I was scared but then we smashed it.”
