EMMA Watson proved she doesn’t need a ballgown to steal the show as she cut a stylish figure at the Beauty and the Beast premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The actress – who plays the lead role of Belle in the live action version of the animated classic – looked stunning as she joined her co-stars Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

However, Emma rubbished the claims and told Entertainment Weekly: “Belle actively argues and disagrees with him constantly.”

She added: “She has none of the characteristics of someone with Stockholm syndrome because she keeps her independence; she keeps that freedom of thought.”
