Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck after nearly two years of marriage and pair has ‘no prenup’ for estate
The couple hadn't been seen together in months and had ditched their wedding rings
JENNIFER Lopez and Ben Affleck have called it quits after less than two years of marriage.
The A-listers tied the knot in a July 2022 Las Vegas ceremony and had a more extravagant celebration the following month in Georgia.

Jennifer, 55, filed for divorce from Ben, 51, after months of split speculation, reported on Tuesday.
JLo filed legal documents Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court pro per - meaning without an attorney.
The Atlas actress listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024.
Ironically, the date of the filing, August 20, is the second anniversary of the ex-couple's traditional wedding ceremony they held in Georgia.

In the docs, Jennifer did not mention whether or not the pair had a prenuptial agreement but sources with knowledge told TMZ the pair didn't have one in place.
That means whatever earnings or profit Jen and Ben made during their nearly two-year marriage is community property.
In 2020, listed Jennifer's net worth as $150 million.
As of August 1, has Ben's net worth equaling Jennifer's at approximately $150 million.

According to the legal docs, Jennifer waived spousal support and has requested the judge to deny Ben such support as well.
Before Jennifer filed for divorce the pair had barely been seen together in public with one of their last outings being in June 2024.

Last month, Ben purchased a $20.5 million home in Brentwood, California, after moving out of the former couple's Beverly Hills estate this past spring.
At the end of July, the exes listed the Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million.

Last month, the reported the couple's divorce had been finalized for weeks.
"They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them," a source told the outlet.

A source claimed to that Jen and Ben were dealing with major marital struggles and would go weeks without spending time together.
"It's over; they're headed for a divorce, and for once [Ben's] not to blame. He's focusing on his work and kids now," the source claimed.
"They'll never stop loving each other, but she can't control him, and he can't change her. There's no way it could have lasted."
