B*WITCHED have revealed they are still a thorn in the side of emergency services – because people are going to hospital after trying to recreate their famous Irish jig routine.
It has been 26 years since the girl group, below, performed the dance in the video to their hit single C’est La Vie.
Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and said in an exclusive chat with Bizarre that despite the countless fan injuries over the years, they have been left unscathed themselves.
Edele said: “We’ve been fine actually. But I’d say weekly we get a message with somebody who’s hurt themselves trying to do the Irish dance.
“And it’s like, if you just do it without alcohol, you’ll be fine.
“One bride, she broke both her ankles on her wedding day trying to do the jig.”

That’s not the only legacy of the video, as their fans are disappointed if they wear anything but denim, having done so in that clip.
Those followers should be chuffed, though, because they have just released their first collection of music in a decade.
It is an EP called Ripped Jeans, which came out on Friday.
Reflecting on their fashion, Sinead said: “For years, we kind of stepped away from the double denim because we were a bit fed up with it. And then you realise over time that if we’re not wearing denim, we might as well not be singing C’est la Vie.

“It’s like the same impact. There was a moment where we turned up for this gig when we were rebelling against the denim.
“It seemed everybody in the audience was top to toe in denim. Then somebody told us it was a denim party. We were like, oh, we didn’t get that memo. And they were like, but you are the memo.”
Tom swings to golf
LOTS of stars are steering clear of social media because of trolls who seem intent on being mean.
But Tom Grennan had a very different reason – after becoming addicted to videos of chiropractors on apps such as TikTok and Instagram relieving problems with bones and joints.
He said: “For me, it was more like chiropractors, because I love the click, click, click – seeing people get cracked up.
“I was like, ‘My God, I’ve watched an hour of chiropracting. This is bad for my mind. This is not creative’.”
Instead, the Little Bit Of Love singer has become a golf fanatic and is even taking his clubs on tour.
He told Russell Howard on his Wonderbox podcast: “I love golf. For the past year and a half I’ve really got into it. We do jobs that are here, there and everywhere.
“For me, with the golf course, you just put your phone away and I just concentrate on hitting the ball and getting it into that little hole.”
Harry Styles and Justin Timberlake are also golf lovers, so perhaps that’s another sign that he’s made it.
Joseph on the Cat walk
HE is playing the Human Torch in the new Fantastic Four film – and Joseph Quinn is certainly carrying one for Doja Cat.
I revealed yesterday that the pair had started dating and my new pictures of them show Joseph and Doja looking pretty smitten.
The couple were spotted taking a walk in central London after we told you they’d got together, having been put in touch by Joseph’s pal Noah Schnapp.
American singer Doja asked Noah to get Joseph to “hit her up” two years ago.
It might have taken ages, but that clearly worked.
Doja is smiling like the cat who got the cream.
Rita air strip
WE’VE all been there . . . when airport security insists you take off your coat, belt and sometimes even your shoes to walk through the scanners.
But Rita Ora made their job easy by stripping right down to her red undies as she went through checks before a flight.
I wouldn’t recommend trying that if you are heading off on your summer holidays in the next few weeks though.
Strutting through Birmingham Airport in my Bridget Jones-style knickers would cause more alarm than reassurance.
Paul glad of Gracie cuddles
PAUL Mescal and Gracie Abrams have confirmed my story they are an item by going on a date to All Points East festival.
The Gladiator 2 star cuddled the US singer while watching headliner Mitski at the event in London’s Victoria Park on Sunday night.
They were first linked in June and then I revealed they were actually together last month, shortly after she topped the charts with her second album The Secret of Us.
The couple, who had been spotted kissing in Mayfair in the afternoon, hung out with Paul’s Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones as well as his singer sister Nell earlier in the evening.
Gracie is the daughter of Star Wars director J. J. Abrams, so if he ever wants a role in that franchise, he will need to win over her parents.
Little comeback
JADE THIRLWALL has insisted that Little Mix will reunite . . . just not yet.
The Angel Of My Dreams singer said on Australian radio: “Everyone knows how much I am obsessed with Little Mix.
“The reunion will absolutely happen when the time is right, for sure. It would be silly not to.
“I think sometimes when you say ‘hiatus’, people are like, ‘Sure! It’s over’.
“We’re like, ‘No, we genuinely mean we’ll come back’.
“I promise! I promise!”
Annie: A nice time to quit
ANNIE MAC has revealed an encounter with George Ezra prompted her to leave Radio 1.
The veteran DJ quit the youth station in 2021 after 17 years and has now explained why she could not stay.
Annie said on her Sidetracked podcast on BBC Sounds: “I remember the exact moment this happened to me. I interviewed George Ezra and he left and I went, ‘That is such a nice young man. If my son could grow up like him I would be so happy’.
“And that was when I was like, ‘It’s time to leave Radio 1.’ Guys, I’m out.”
Chappell's off acting
CHAPPELL ROAN has given up her dream of becoming an actress, saying Hollywood stars are “crazy”.
She told Interview magazine: “I get so freaked out by film people. I’ve been asked in the past couple of weeks, ‘You want the lead in X,Y, Z?’ and I’m like, ‘No’.
“I originally started doing music because I wanted to get my foot in the door for acting, and then I moved to Los Angeles, and I was like, ‘F**k that’. The industry is legitimately so scary, and it is so out of my control.”

The singer, who is fighting for the No1 spot this week with her single Good Luck Babe, added: “I think it would have to be really specific and really silly. I would maybe do a cameo.
“I’ve been trained how to act, but it’s the most stressful thing in the world to me. I would rather get arrested.”
