Emmerdale viewers threaten to BOYCOTT the soap as Robert Sugden is set to kiss Rebecca White AGAIN while husband Aaron Dingle is in prison
It's safe to say that fans aren't happy about the upcoming storyline
DEDICATED Emmerdale fans are utterly seething after reading the latest soap spoiler revealing that Robert Sugden will once again kiss Rebecca White.
Some have even gone one step further and threatened to boycott the show if the scenes are aired.
Robert (Ryan Hawley) first 'cheated' on Aaron (Danny Miller) back in November (though he later told Aaron that this was a way of getting her on side) and Robron fans were furious at the character for doing so.
And when the soap later teased that Rebecca could contest the wedding just days before the nuptials earlier this month, Robron fans went berserk.
So it's not entirely surprising that the fictional couple's legion of fans are upset about the latest storyline to come.
One angrily tweeted: "#Emmerdale If Robert and Rebecca get together while Aaron's in prison I'll no longer watch Ennerdale until Aaron is out (sic)."
Another ranted: "#Emmerdale if Robert cheats on Aaron am so f***ing done with the programme. Get Rebecca out knaw (sic)."
A third felt queasy: "I feel sick about this Robert/Rebecca stuff no wonder Chas has fight scene with them ugh #robron #emmerdale."
While one stated: "I'll be done with #Emmerdale if Robert cheats on Aaron with Rebecca man I'm fumming reading all these spoilers #Robron @emmerdale (sic)."
Another sadly remarked: "Ugh @emmerdale why make Robert cheat with Rebecca?Stop messing up #robron now theyre married😢you've lost a viewer here💔 #emmerdale."
But there's no need to get too downhearted - Emmerdale has addressed fans' worries and told them to "stick with us".
And when one fan asked why they couldn't "just let them be happy", they replied: "Who said we wont? There's still more to come, keep watching #Emmerdale.
We'll wait with bated breath.
- Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7pm
