Gino D’Acampo says David Beckham claims he’d ‘never be allowed on Celebrity Juice’ despite admitting he loves the show
The ex footballer won't be starring on ITV2 screens any time soon
CELEBRITY Juice superfan David Beckham claims he's been BANNED from starring on his favourite TV show.
Yet the ex footie star's wife - Posh Spice Victoria - isn't to blame, instead it is the sports hunk's image-conscious PR, according to celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo.
The Italian is a firm favourite on the ITV2 show and revealed: "A lot (of celebrities) won’t do it because they’re worried.
“I was talking to David Beckham a few weeks ago in Manchester and he said: ‘I LOVE the show’.
“But when I said he should come and do it he said: ‘My PR people would never allow that’."
This Morning foodie whizz Gino added: “Robbie Williams was another.
"I was with Robbie a few months ago and I knew his wife Ayda came to the show and I said he should come.
“He said: ‘Oh, can you imagine all the people I work with?
"They’d freak out’.
"A lot of people watch but not many are allowed, which is a shame as we’re not there to make you look bad.”
Meanwhile Gino, who teams up with his This Morning presenting pal Holly Willoughby on the slapstick game show confessed the programme didn't feel like work to him.
After downing a pint of Guinness he admitted they head straight to the studio to record.
“I enjoy the freedom and the friendship with Fearne, Keith Lemon and Holly," he said.
"Do I actually go there to work?
"Not really."
