JK Rowling reveals sneak peek of Fantastic Beasts sequel script on Twitter but sends fans into a frenzy as she keeps the name a secret
JK Rowling has shared a sneak peek of the film script for the sequel for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
The author is working with Warner Brothers to make five films from the three books she penned – with the second set to be released on November 16 2018.
On Monday, JK sent her fans into a frenzy by posting a snippet of the script on Twitter.
She simply captioned the picture: “Having a beastly day…”
Within minutes her tweet had thousands of retweets and replies, with fans begging to know what she had called the sequel.
One of her followers commented: "What is the name of the second movie?"
Another wrote: "Please tell me what you have called the second?"
Currently the film is simply titled Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them 2 on IMDB.
Filming is expected to start later this summer, with Eddie Redmayne reprising his role as Magizoologist Newt Scamander.
It will also include new artwork and a batch of new beasts, and all proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief and Lumos - JK's charity for children placed in institutions.
It comes five months after the book, which was originally released in 2001, was adapted into a film.
The £150million movie followed Newt as he went to New York in 1926 - smuggling in a host of weird creatures banned under US wizard law.
When some get loose from his magical suitcase, Newt gets caught up in a struggle to prevent a war between humans and wizards and witches.
Eddie spent time with zoologists in order to prepare for the role, which includes mimicking the mating ritual of a massive horned beast, called an Erumpent.
