Lisa Riley reveals she suffered HALLUCINATIONS from pain medication as she boasts about new ‘cello’ body after excess skin removal operation
The actress and TV show panellist looked beaming as she revealed she was recovering well after gruelling operation
TILLY PEARCE
told Loose Women on Monday that following the op - which she had after a TEN stone weight loss - she had a particularly bad reaction to a series of medications she was given by the doctors - causing her to lose days and imagine things.
Talking to the all-female group via video call, Lisa looked happier than ever as she explained that her previous fears were unfounded and she was well on the road to recovery - but she had a scary moment that left her on edge.
She explained: "It was a horrendous reaction - really quite scary and quite daunting. I felt like things were coming in on me. It was very hallucinogenic.
"You've got to try with pain relief - because the pain in ridiculous."
Lisa revealed that the medication, which she didn't name, was a form of pain relief but left her feeling 'lucid' - before revealing she lost a day and a half during recovery because it also caused memory loss.
She added: "I saw this thing and what 'what's that?' and my friends said that Andrew came and brought me a present."
Lisa ended the story by revealing that 'everything was fragmented' to her - but she was soon off the medication after medics realised the reaction.
"I will NOT be having that stuff again," Lisa concluded.
Apart from her frightening reaction to one type of pain relief medication, Lisa announced that the operation was "100% worth it".
Speaking of her new figure, she said: "They asked what shape I wanted and I said I wanted to be a cello - and I'm completely a cello and it's the most incredible feeling!"
Now the excess skin from her stomach has been removed, Lisa is now returning to the surgeon on Thursday for phase two.
The star, who is currently having to wear a compression corset as she heals from her surgical wounds, will go under the knife to remove herself from breast, back fat and underarms.
She revealed: "I suppose I’m putting a bit of a front on, you girls saw me get upset this morning. You were great this morning thank you.
“I just personally want to thank all the Loose Women viewers, and the support I have on social media has been unbelievable and I hope that’s going to get me through the next five weeks, which is going to be desperately hard.
“People have judged me and said what they want to say but excuse the pun, I’ve become thick skinned.
“I’ve got to go into this with my eyes wide open but I’m petrified about it, look I’m shaking, about going under the anaesthetic.
“It’s so ironic, because I don’t come under the obese category any more, I don’t smoke any more, I don’t drink any more, so as a health tick of the box, yes I do tick that box to get through, I feel that.
“But I’ve had tormenting dreams and I think that’s part and parcel of it.”
When she returned to the show today, she excitedly beamed: "I woke up!"
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.
