THIS Morning got a bit awkward today after a guest appearing on the show called her "mad" for insisting that she knew husband Eamonn Holmes "inside out".

She revealed that she had found out her vicar husband Clive after work one day when he told her.

The guest admitted: "I had no idea. It crossed my mind twice, but it’s not a question you ask your husband."

Eamonn then went to ask whether it was in the earlier years or the latter years.

She said that she fleetingly had and Ruth Langsford asked why, saying that she had never even fleetingly thought that Eamonn was gay.

Ruth McElroy said that she couldn't remember what it was.

Later, Eamonn asked whether he was "in denial" or whether he'd always known that he was gay.

The guest appeared awkward and commented: "You'll have to ask him that because, like you say, you think you know your man inside out but no one does, do they?"

Ruth Langsford then remarked: "That's the thing though, I'd like to think I do but here's..."

Guest Ruth then interjected: "You're mad then!"

When the presenter went on to say that she thought a lot of women would say they know their husbands inside out, the guest quickly said: "No, I think that's rubbish."

Earlier on This Morning a weight loss expert also branded Eamonn fat - though he didn't seem too fussed and laughed about it.
