FERNE McCann tried out a unique A-list treatment which saw her wear mittens and, bizarrely, a bikini as she stood in a chamber at temperatures of -93°C (or -136°F)

The former Towie star was doing a cryotherapy session as she filmed a segment for This Morning on how A-listers get ready for the red carpet.

After a workout with a personal trainer to the celebs, Ferne braved the treatment for around three minutes with the air temperature at -75°C (-104°F).

The treatment is used by the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Alba.

For the session she wore ear muffs, a mask over her nose and mouth, mittens and slippers.

She also wore a green bikini adorned with tassels and a pair of black slippers and socks.

Speaking about it, Ferne said: "Standing in a chamber that's 100 degrees below zero is thought to help reduce cellulite, signs of wrinkles and muscle pain."

After leaving the chamber she gasped: "Oh my god, that was so cold! My legs are freezing."

Earlier this month it was also revealed that people were using cryotherapy to freeze their genitals in order to boost their sex life and improve the appearance of their intimate areas.

A spa in Manchester is offering up the unusual treatment, where temperatures dip as low as minus 160 degrees.
