Dougie Lee Poynter is a musician and song writer.
He is the bassist and youngest member of McFly.
Dougie was born November 30, 1987 in Corringham, Essex.
When did Dougie join McFly?
In 2003, at just 15 years old, Dougie joined the band McFly.
The band consists of Dougie, Tom Fletcher (vocals/guitar), Danny Jones (guitar/vocals), and Harry Judd (drums).
McFly rose to fame with their first single 5 Colours in Her Hair and went to Number One
Their first album, Room on the 3rd Floor, also hit Number One and earned the boys a Guinness World Record for being the youngest band to have a debut album enter the charts in the top
position, previously held by The Beatles.
The band have since gone on to become a household name with sell-out tours.
They have released six studio albums and two “Best ofs”.
Dougie is also credited as a lead writer and co-writer on many of McFly's songs.

Dougie took part in the 11th series of I’m a Celebrity in 2011 and was crowned King of the Jungle.
He once said that he would willingly to go back into the jungle again.

When did Dougie become a member of McBusted?
Dougie along with the other McFly boys joined Busted stars Matt Willis and James Bourne to form supergroup, McBusted.
The boys enjoyed a successful sell-out tour.
