A BRIT UNFAIR

Coronation Street moved and Emmerdale cancelled for ‘bumper’ Brit Awards on ITV1 tomorrow night

The two popular soaps have had to make way for the biggest showbiz event of the year

EMMERDALE fans will be gutted to hear that the soap has been cancelled tomorrow night due the Brit Awards.

And it's bad news for Coronation Street fans too who will have to watch the show half an hour earlier because the music bash starts at 7pm.

It's not the first time other pesky programmes have got in the way of viewers' beloved soap.

In November the double bill of Coronation Street was axed for a night because of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here starting earlier.

Twitter fans were vexed about the scheduling change.

One fan wrote: “Excuse me why is i’m a celeb on at 8:30 tomorrow, not feeling missing an episode of corrie.”

And one added: “Oh no! There’s less #Corrie on tonight.”

The Brits takes place tomorrow night at London's O2 Arena and recognises the very best in music talent.

Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, The 1975 and Little Mix are just some of the stars taking to the stage for the show.

The live programme will be hosted by Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis after Michael Buble was forced to pull out due to his son's cancer diagnosis.

A source said: “It was a difficult call but Michael has decided to pull out of hosting the Brit Awards.

“Out of respect for Michael the producers gave him as much time as he needed to make the decision, which they completely understood.
