LINDSAY Lohan has revealed her terror at being forced to remove as Islamic headscarf at Heathrow Airport after landing in the UK from Turkey.
The Mean Girls star - who is studying the religion - described the experience as "intimidating" during an interview with Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
She explained: "When I was flying to New York recently, I was wearing a headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and racially profiled for the first time in my life... at Heathrow Airport.
"She opened my passport and saw 'Lindsay Lohan' and started immediately apologising but then said, 'Please take off your head scarf'.
"And I did, it's OK. But what scared me at that moment was, how would another woman who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel? That was really interesting to me.
"I was in shock. It was jarring.
She added: "I got double checked until she realised... it was strange."
Piers then asked if it "freaked her out a bit" and she said: "It did, I'm from New York, I was born and raised there so I was a little intimidated".
Susanna then asked: "What was the reason you were wearing the headscarf, was it part of your studying of Islam?"
During her appearance, Lindsay admitted she has been studying Islam but refused to confirm if she would convert to the religion.
She said: "I was doing it because I was leaving Turkey and out of respect to certain countries that I go to, I feel more comfortable acting the same as the other women. That's just a personal respect issue for me.
"So I had it on, it was also really early and I felt more comfortable and then I felt uncomfortable and a little scared."
Piers and Susanna quizzed the 30-year-old about if she was going to convert to Islam after she was pictured carrying the Koran.
Lindsay said: "I think me studying the Koran is something I found a solace in, it was a religion where I found a lot of peace.
"You can't just convert to a religion overnight, it's a culture and it's a practise.
"I do study it, nothing is confirmed yet...I read a translation but it's easier for me to learn Arabic by writing it and for prayer hour listening to it."
Piers then said: "You've Instagrammed some sayings from the prophet Mohammed, you're taking this pretty seriously."
She replied: "I had 'Alaikum salam' on my phone for a long time before I cleaned my whole slate of Instagram and Twitter posts so that was there for quite some time and people didn't realise that until that was the only thing people saw."
Piers then pushed her on it, asking: "Are you in the process of potentially converting to Islam?"
She said: "I think any religion anyone chooses is a personal belief, my sister is Buddhist, it's a consideration I have. I don't want to speak on something I haven't finished yet, I don't think that's right."
Lindsay also revealed she meditated on the phone with Oprah Winfrey before her interview on GMB because she was "scared" of talking to Piers.
After discussing her love to meditation, Piers asked her: "Did you meditate before coming on the show this morning?"
Lindsay smiled and said: "I did with Oprah on the phone last night."
Piers was shocked and said: "Did you? What before coming to see me? I love Oprah, what did she say to you?"
She continued: "I had a call with her last night. Mum was like, 'Oprah's calling'. We were just talking about what I'm doing now.
"She was really proud of me which was really wonderful because I think she's such a guiding light and she's like a second mother to me so I feel really blessed to have her on my speed dial."
Piers continued: "So you just call her?"
Lindsay laughed and said: "Yeah, I was nervous to talk to you" which prompted Piers and Susanna to burst out laughing.
