Linda blew the coaches away with her incredible voice but there was no stopping the Honey G comparisons
THE Voice UK fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Linda Jennings from Bolton walked out onto the stage on Saturday night.
With her enormous sunglasses and sassy style, viewers compared her to X Factor star Honey G as she started to belt out her song.
Linda blew the coaches away with her powerful singing voice.
Tom Jones, Gavin Rossdale, Will.I.Am and Jennifer Hudsonall turned for her when she’d finished her performance.
The stars then fought it out as they vied to get Linda on board but she only had eyes for one man, choosing Welsh crooner Tom as her coach.
But fans still couldn’t get the image of Honey out of their minds and Linda didn’t help herself when she told the audience: “My friends call me Linda J!”
Linda bowled over the coaches and the audience with her voice however and she’s now through the next stage of the competition.
Speaking about her performance, she said: “I can’t believe I got Tom’s final place,” before grinning with delight.
Before she took to the stage, 49-year-old Linda opened up about her life.
She said: “I am in loads of bands, like country bands, cover bands, jazz with my partner John and I have started another duo with a friend called Helen.
“I don’t do any rapping though, not with a Bolton accent. I am really in to having my own style.
“I have got the lucky shoes on. I pulled my partner in these shoes – he saw me on stage with a little dress on with these shoes.
“I would love to win this competition so I have got to do the best possible job and hit the stratosphere with this song – hit another universe”.
