RYAN Giggs cosied up to soap actress Gemma Atkinson just hours after a High Court battle with his estranged wife was revealed.
The ex-Manchester United ace, 43, treated Emmerdale star Gemma, 32, to a meal at George’s Dining Room and Bar in Manchester.
Their date came as it emerged he was battling ex Stacey, 38, over the financial details of their divorce.
An onlooker said Ryan did not appear to be letting his problems get him down.
He said: “Gemma was wearing an elegant strappy top on with her hair put up and Ryan seemed very impressed.
He kept sneaking glances at her... There was definitely a spark there

“He looked like he was enjoying himself, certainly not a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
“There was definitely a spark there.
"They gave each other their undivided attention, and kept leaning across the table to get closer."
Gemma is a die-hard United fan who has previously dated Ryan’s former Old Trafford team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Neither Ryan nor Stacey was in the High Court yesterday as a judge considered their case.
