Medics rush to help Amy Willerton after horror crash in skeleton bobsled training on perilous Channel 4 show The Jump

The star hits a wall and her motionless body continues to slide down the ice on Channel 4's dangerous winter sport show

AMY Willerton suffers a horror accident while training for The Jump - with dramatic scenes set to air this weekend.

The 24-year-old former Miss Universe star suffers a nasty crash while training for the skeleton slide event in the Channel 4 reality contest.

Sounding nervous before she’s even been sent hurtling down the huge slide on a tea tray sized sled,   the star asks for a moment to reassure herself with an instructor.

“Wait, wait Marcus, wait.  Can I just gather my thoughts for a sec?” the TV beauty asks at the top of the stunt.

The star is then given a couple of seconds to compose herself before proceeding.

Fatefully, Amy then asks: “Ok, so I'm going to enjoy this, right?”

With a little more reassurance she declared: “Ok, I'm ready.”

Footage then shows the 5’9” model hurtling at high speed down the icy slide with former Olympic athlete and show consultant Graham Bell sounding anxious as he provides commentary.

“Amy is on. Big slide. Big slide! She's off! Crashed,” he reports as we see the star smash into a wall and then her motionless body continues to slide down the course.

As people in bright neon uniforms are seen running to assist the TV star, a voice can be heard demanding: “We need a medic!”

The scenes are due to be aired on The Jump on Channel 4 on Sunday.

The reality show is notorious for leaving its stars maimed and injured.

So far the fourth series has seen Irish model Vogue Williams forced to withdraw before the official start of the show when she badly injured a knee during training.

And Sir Bradley Wiggins has also been forced to quit after breaking his leg during the third week of the show’s post-launch training.

Last year a total of seven celebrities were forced to retire before the final after suffering a range of sprains and broken bones.
