Who does Rainer Bock play in SS-GB?

Rainer plays Fritz Kellerman who is a high ranking Nazi officer who is now chief of the police in London.

The TV series imagines what the United Kingdom would be like had the allied forces of World War II failed and the Nazi’s controlled London.

The series is based on the Len Deighton novel of the same name – in which Douglas Archer is a British detective who becomes embroiled in a Resistance movement after investigating a homicide.

Speaking about his role, he told Bradford Zone: "He loves the English way of life: tea time, whiskey, tweed suits and – one of his main interests – fishing. But he can be hard and brutal.

"This is not the first time I’ve played a Nazi – that is a German actor’s positive dilemma in international productions. But I always try to find the human side of those characters and not to jump into the stereotype trap."
