Who is Slavko Kalezić? X Factor contestant who is through to judges’ houses
MONTENEGRO selected flamboyant X Factor Adria contestant Slavko Kalezić to represent them at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in 2017.
Now he's competing in the X Factor, but what do we know about Slavko Kalezić and what did he sing at Eurovision?
Who is Slavko Kalezić, how old is he and how was he chosen for Eurovision?
Slavko Kalezić is a 31-year-old singer, actor and presenter from Montenegro,
As with 2016's Montenegrin entrant - Highway - Slavko Kalezić is a graduate of X Factor Adria, the Balkan version of the ITV show.
Slavko's obvious talent made him popular with the public when he competed on the show in 2013, but just missed out on the live shows after getting to the Judges' Houses round.
He has since dabbled in acting and TV presenting — even hosting an episode of X Factor Adria himself.
The outlandish star has released a number of singles including Culprit, Muza and Feel The Love.
The Montenegro candidate was selected for Eurovision 2017 following weeks of behind-the-scenes deliberations and was announced on TV station Radio i Televizija Crne Gore.
What song did Slavko Kalezić perform at Eurovision 2017 and how did Montenegro do?
The song Slavko Kalezić sang was called Space, and opened with the lyrics: "Linen is covered with feathers / Wet dreams, wild nightmares, I surrender."
It was written by Momcilo Zekovic, a member of the popular group Perper, one of Montenegro's most popular rock bands.
However, Montenegro - who first competed in Eurovision in 2007 and are yet to win - did not qualify for the final contest and came 37th overall.
When is Slavko going on The X Factor?
After failing to light up Europe with his song, Slavko is now featuring on the new series of the X Factor.
A promo clip shows him performing a Beyonce song and leaving the judges gob-smacked while dancing like the superstar and whipping around his long plait.
The Beyonce track, End Of Time, is the same one her auditioned with on X Factor Adria.
Whether he'll get through to the next round remains to be seen, though it seems fairly likely.
Last year, Finnish Eurovision contestant Saara Aalto came second on the series overall.
