Channel 5 launching “even more outrageous” rival show to Ex on the Beach
THE creator of Ex on the Beach is launching an "even more outrageous" rival show on Channel 5.
The MTV reality show has been on air since 2014 and has enjoyed ratings averaging 800,000.
But now Channel 5 are devising their own similar format in a bid to revive the concept on terrestrial telly.
And show insiders say the channel plan to make it even racier than its predecessor.
A source said: "The Ex on the Beach creator is making a rival show for Channel 5.
"Ex On The Beach is so profitable and popular that they've decided to make her own similar format show to rival it.

The show's creator has also worked as Executive Producer for reality telly heavyweights Geordie Shore and The Only Way Is Essex.
Channel 5 has a history of saucy broadcasts including Sex Pod, which answered the public's most X-rated questions last year.
MTV are known for pushing the boundaries too and have looked to turn the heat up for Ex On The Beach's new series - which began in January - by landing it in Crete, Greece.
But the original concept in which eight single men and women are flown to a sunny destination for a holiday and look for love is still the same.
Five of the contestant’s exes join the villa over the course of each series with the hope of getting either rekindling their former romance or getting revenge.
