MICHELLE Heaton has blamed throwing up out of a taxi on an intense workout, alcohol and sunstroke.
The mother-of-two has admitted her embarrassment at the incident which saw her being snapped vomiting by the side of the road after arriving in New Zealand with her Atomic Kitten bandmates.
But the 37-year-old emphasised how she believed she "didn't do anything wrong."
As the band spoke to Lorraine Kelly from Australia, the host got straight to the point and asked Michelle: "We saw some photos and I was a wee bit worried about you – is everything ok?"
To which Michelle replied: "Do you know what I'm so embarrassed"
"It was the first day that we got there, we were so jet lagged and we had to stay up.
"We got there at 5.30am in the morning and we went on a boat ride and I had a few glasses of wine and it was during the day and I got a bit of sunstroke – and I did a two hour work out in the gym."
She added: "I just got sick, there’s no excuse. We’ve all been there.
"We didn’t do anything wrong, it really wasn’t that mad."
Earlier on in the interview, Michelle and her bandmate Natasha Hamilton admitted the tour was not in fact as "wild" as expected.
Natasha told Lorraine: "We haven’t gone too wild to be fair, because we’ve literally been travelling to a different city each day."
"We all packed a few going out clothes thinking we were going to go on tour and live up the life... and it’s just not quite been like that – we’ve been so tired," added Michelle.
Natasha commented: "We’ve grown up a little bit.
"We’ve done some wine tasting, had some nice meals – it’s been quite civilised."
