Adele cleans up at the Grammys and scoops up FIVE awards including Record and Album of the Year
But it wasn't all smiles on the night and she was left in tears after demanding to restart her George Michael
ADELE came up trumps at the Grammys and scooped up five gongs including Record and Album of the Year.
It was an emotional evening for Adele and she couldn't help sobbing after receiving her final award for Album of the Year for 25, commenting that she couldn't accept the award because she felt it should have gone to Beyonce.
Even the Lemonade singer was struggling to keep back the tears as Adele gave a heartfelt speech praising her.
Speaking about her comeback, she said that it "took an army" to help her get her latest album off the ground.
Adele said: "I struggled and I still do struggle being a mum but this made me feel in some way like I have got some of myself back again."

But she glanced down to where Beyonce and her family were sitting and said: "I can't accept this award because, for me, Beyonce, Lemonade was amazing.
"It was so monumental and so soul bearing. We saw another side of you that we don't always get to see. We adore you, you are our light. The way you make me feel, and the way you make my black friends feel, is amazing. I love you so much, I always have and always will."
This evening Adele also won Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Vocal Album.
Despite being up for nine Grammys this year, Beyonce bagged just two for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video.
Earlier Adele was also left in tears after demanding to restart her emotional tribute to George Michael.
A minute into her rendition of George Michael’d Fast Love she stopped and swore, before quickly apologising.
