Matty Healy engaged to girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel months after Taylor Swift romance
Healy is thought to be the inspiration behind some of superstar Taylor's new material
THE 1975 frontman Matty Healy is engaged to girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel.
The model and performer, 26, showed off a huge black ring on social media today and wrote: "Marrying the 1975 is very Brat."

Gabbriette tagged Healy, 35, into her post, which was put out as she watched pal Charli XCX's Brat tour in New York.
Dressed in a little black dress, Gabbriette sang and danced with actress and Kanye West's ex Julia Fox as part of a wild crowd in the Big Apple.
Indie rocker Healy re-shared her ring post confirming the happy news and his mum, Denise Welch, spoke of her joy on today's Loose Women.
She said: "Now that it's official... he's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel — Gabbriette she's known as."

Denise revealed the rock was black diamond and the ring a bespoke design.
"I couldn't be more thrilled. We couldn't be happier — she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law," she continued. "I'm thrilled."
The couple, who have been dating since September, were pictured hanging out with Traitors winner Harry Clark backstage at The 1975's O2 Arena gig in London back in February.
Healy spent last summer recuperating from dating Taylor Swift and the media scrutiny that came along with the relationship.

Gabbriette is an American model, musician, and social media personality as well as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the punk rock band Nasty Cherry.
The singer said she and Healy had wanted to meet for four years before he eventually hooked up with her in LA.

And giving a glimpse into their relationship she said they love eating takeaway and playing the video-game Fortnite.
The fashionista is known for her goth-inspired, 90's grunge aesthetic, which helped her gain the attention of her agency, IMG Models.
She is also known for her famous cooking and baking videos, which she posts on Instagram and TikTok.
The duo have never confirmed how they met, though it may be through their bandmates.
The 1975's drummer, George Daniel, is engaged to Nasty Cherry's founder and band member, Charlie XCX.
Before dating Healy, Gabbriette was linked to fellow model Levi Dylan, Bob Dylan's grandson.
Healy has had a long list of famous exes, but none more so than last year's squeeze.
He caused a media frenzy when he was spotted being driven to and from Swift's stadium shows and her home base in Nashville, Tennessee, in May 2023.
He even joined his friend and Eras tour opener, Phoebe Bridgers, on stage during the second Nashville show.
The duo were spotted several times throughout May in New York City, holding hands, hugging, and kissing.
But their whirlwind romance ended as quickly as it began.
By June, Healy and Swift had parted ways and haven't been seen together since.
Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department, is thought to have been inspired by her relationships with ex-fiancé Joe Alwyn and Healy.
The title track's lyrics read: "You smoked and ate seven bars of chocolate / We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist."
The lyrics continue: "I scratch your head, you fall asleep like a tattooed golden retriever."

Fans are convinced the muse is Healy, who has plenty of tattoos and has a song with The 1975 titled Chocolate.
When asked what he made of Swift's record, Healy diplomatically said he hadn't heard it but was sure it was good.
