Jeremy McConnell’s fans rally around him and tell him it’s ‘time to be a proper dad’ after he confirms he IS the father of Stephanie Davis’ son
JEREMY McConnell’s fans have rallied around him and told him it’s time for him to ‘step up’ after he confirmed he was the father of Stephanie Davis’ son.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star shared a sweet close-up photo of the tiny tot on his Twitter profile on Saturday, writing: “I'll love this monkey with every bit of me.”
Jeremy also confirmed the news on Instagram, adding: “Happiest man alive, my new focus.”
After his revelation, Jeremy’s fans inundated him on social media with many congratulating him on his “mini-me” son.
One tweeted: “Such a beautiful little boy looks like his dad.”
Another wrote: “Congratulations Jeremy he’s your mini me.”
His followers also encouraged him to “stand up” and be “a real dad” after he got the news he’d been wanting.
One fan wrote: “Takes a big man to stand up and admit he's wrong.”
Another added: “Time to say sorry to @Stephdavis77 now and step up and be a dad to that beautiful baby.
A third commented: “Step up! I think u owe the mother of your child a HUGE apology.”
Another tweeted: “Time you both grow up now and be good role models to your child. Good luck.”

Other fans told Jeremy they hoped he would be able to settle his differences with the former Hollyoaks actress.
One of his followers told him: “I hope you two can put your past behind you and look to the future bringing up your baby.”
A second said: “Congrats Hun, now it's time to be the best dad you can be by being civil to each other.”
The star appeared on This Morning earlier this week to give a DNA sample live on the show, before pleading with Steph to give him the results.
Shortly after the segment, ex-Hollyoaks star Steph posted a lengthy response, which has since been deleted, reading: "Stephanie has felt humiliated by Jeremy denying his own son and foolishly announcing publicly his request for a DNA test.
"Jeremy has caused Stephanie massive amount of stress, pressure and upset throughout her pregnancy, ruining what for most women is one of the most special times of their lives."
Now the tweet containing the statement has vanished from Stephanie's timeline, as well as screen grabs she'd posted of tweets by Jeremy denying he was the baby's father.
Fans who have been following the saga of Steph and Jeremy — who embarked on a tumultuous on-off romance after meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house last year — were quick to notice the statement had been taken down.
A rep for Stephanie told The Sun Online she had no comment regarding the removal of the statement.

Stephanie has felt humiliated by Jeremy denying his own son and foolishly announcing publicly his request for a DNA test.
Jeremy has caused Stephanie massive amount of stress, pressure and upset throughout her pregnancy, ruining what for most women is one of the most special times of their lives.
Jeremy has at no point throughout the pregnancy or after the birth been in contact directly with Stephanie. Jeremy was categorically not banned from the birth, nor did he ever ask to attend.
Stephanie confirmed to Jeremy that she was pregnant 10 days after they split, any suggestion that she was unfaithful to him is to detract away from his numerous infidelities whilst in the relationship.
Jeremy has been given the option at all times to take part in a DNA test, because of past behaviour Stephanie has requested that this is handled via the correct channels and managed by her solicitor.
Jeremy to date has continually refused the terms of the agreement that Stephanie has proposed, which he was given the right to make his own amendments to suit him.
This confidentiality agreement was made to ensure privacy and protect Caben-Albi.
Stephanie as a single mother reserves the right to undertake any work she sees fit to provide for their son, her priority.
It is upsetting to think that Jeremy would stoop so low to challenge the mother of his child to a DNA test live on TV when it was already in hand. This shows how little concern he has for Caben and this is already being dealt with privately.
Caben and Stephanie have only been out of hospital for a few weeks, however after spending 9 months denying that he is the babies father, we cannot believe that Jeremy has the audacity to turn the situation around and bring all of this very much into a media circus, on his terms only.
Meanwhile the new mum appears to be focusing on the positive, tweeting messages of thanks to those who have offered gifts and well wishes for her month-old tot.
A tweet pinned to the top of her timeline reads simply: "So very thankful", while her latest Instagram snap shows a pile of children's books next to Caben's feet, captioned: "Ending the day with hugs from this little one. The best feeling in the world."
Steph introduced her newborn in a recent issue of OK! magazineMeanwhile, Jeremy has also deleted his This Morning interview from Facebook, as well as fans' negative comments.
The Irish hunk met Phillip and Holly on the ITV show to plead with his ex to take a DNA test.
After Jeremy shared a clip of the chat on his Facebook page, he was hit with a stream of angry comments from users.
He deleted it shortly after, and both stars have since kept a dignified silence on the matter online.
