POP megastar Ed Sheeran has revealed the secret behind his 5st weight loss.
The Shape Of You singer, 33, says a consistent diet and fitness region is key to his success.
The hitmaker piled on 4st while on a "chicken wing" diet, before realising the unhealthy impacts of eating the deep-friend dish daily.
Appearing on the Session 24 podcast, Ed shared: "I was in my fat phase, in America I used to think no carb meant no bread, no fries.
"I was like 'I can eat chicken wings' and I just ate chicken wings for a year and a half. And I put on 4st.
After his dramatic weight loss in 2020, Ed's maintained a healthy weight over the last four years.

"I'm prone to putting on a lot of weight and what I found is just going to the gym regularly and trying to portion size," he continued.
Ed continued: "I don't have an off switch. If I have one thing to eat, the off switch is there.
"Like if I have that, then I won't be like I need to order another and another.
"If everything is in front of me then I will eat it."

This is not the first time Ed lost a significant amount of weight, after dropping a more than 3 stone in 2017 by giving up booze and carbs.
At the time, he told radio station that his then girlfriend, Sherry, who's now his wife - recommended a short 10 minute workout to shed the pounds.
This, combined with interval training or HIT workouts, helped Ed drop to 11.5 stone.
CRUEL JIBES
In 2019, Ed spoke to The Sun about the cruel jibes he constantly received from internet trolls.
At the time, he was called “chunky” and “fat” by anonymous keyboard warriors, leaving him feeling the need to lose weight.
At his heaviest, Ed said he’d got to 16 stone and admitted the cruel trolling intensified so much he quit Twitter in 2017.
He said: “I never had insecurities and people pointed them out — your brain starts thinking about them.”
He added: “It all stems from other people’s insecurities. So many people have things they’re insecure about so it makes them feel better to point out someone else’s.
"Because half the people that would point out that I’m fat are probably fat themselves.”
Supported by his wife Cherry, he started a rigorous diet and exercise regime to try to get fit.
Ed explained: “My problem was I’d go to the pub, have bangers and mash, a pie, maybe a pudding and then loads of pints. And then not exercise.
“My friends used to call me Two Dinners Teddy. On tour, it’s very easy to drink every single day because there’s always someone visiting.
“I had to make a real effort on the tour. I’m 12st now. I started running. I’ve got into cycling as well.”

Ed admitted his weight was the reason he shunned his early music videos. He added: “I wasn’t in my first three or four videos.
"I was the same sort of age as the One Direction boys and Justin Bieber and all these people who had six-packs and I was kind of like, ‘Oh should I look like this?’”
How to lose weight without surgery
There are various other ways to lose weight without going under the knife.
According to the NHS, to get the best possible start on its weight loss plan, there are the seven steps you should follow.
- Get active for 150 minutes a week – you can break this up into shorter sessions
- Aim to get your 5 A Day – 80g of fresh, canned or frozen fruit or vegetables count as 1 portion
- Aim to lose 1 to 2lbs, or 0.5 to 1kg, a week
- Read food labels – products with more green colour coding than amber and red are often a healthier option
- Swap sugary drinks for water – if you do not like the taste, add slices of lemon or lime for flavour
- Cut down on food that's high in sugar and fat – start by swapping sugary cereal for wholegrain alternatives
- Share your weight loss plan with someone you trust – they can help motivate you when you have a bad day
