Stephanie Davis’ fans hit out at Jeremy McConnell after he denied he’s the dad of her baby for past nine months before demanding DNA test on TV
Twitter users have defended former Hollyoaks actress Steph following Jeremy's This Morning interview
STEPHANIE Davis' fans have hit out at Jeremy McConnell after he 'spent the last nine months denying he's the father of her baby', before demanding a DNA test on This Morning.
Despite Irish hunk Jez insisting he never once outright denied being the dad today, Steph's army of followers have stood behind her and shared old tweets from the star where he hit out at claims he's a dad.
In fact, Steph screenshotted one of Jeremy's old tweets herself, which read: "She's not pregnant with my child come one."
She then quoted him from his TV appearance above it, writing: "I never said the baby wasn't mine, all I said was that there was a doubt because she was with other men in the first two weeks of April."
Chanelle Hayes was one of the first stars to show her support for Steph, as she tweeted: "You've got to hand it to Steph Davis, no idea how she's keeping her s**t together having to deal with that tattooed clown manchild!!"
She added: "To say she's living off him is an absolute joke... who even is he?!?! Her beautiful baby will be the making of her. #goodlucktoyousteph."
Chanelle went on to reveakl she knows how it feels to be "both parents", before writing: "Nothing annoys me more than irresponsible, absent and carefree "men" who get women pregnant and make their lives hell. Boils my blood."
And her fans echoed her thoughts, as one user wrote: "The whole Steph Davis and Jeremy sitch confuses me. Hasn't he spent the whole of her pregnancy saying he's not the dad."
While another added: "Disgusting behaviour by Jeremy!! He has denied he's not the dad in numerous occasions.. should leave Steph alone!"
Another wrote: "Haa don't usually watch This Morning but Jeremy McConnell is a JOKE! Denied the kid for 9 months ffs! feel for the poor girl.."
However many more backed the star, and applauded his interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
One user wrote: "@JezzaMcConnell awesome interview on @thismorning Jeremy..."
While another added: "I really hope all this works out for the baby sake personly shes out of order!"
More pleaded with BOTH stars to keep their private matters private, with one writing: "Why is this Steph and Jeremy situation still so public and why has he done a paternity test on LIVE tv. What fame hungry humans. Privacy."
And one added: "The one thing Steph and Jeremy forget is all this ain't gonna erase from the internet and one day that poor lad will find it all online."
Jeremy carried out the DNA test on the show, with the help of AlphaBiolabs DNA Testing, the same company used by the Jeremy Kyle Show.
The brand was called to the This Morning studios at 9am to take a swab from the 26-year-old, with the results set to take 24 hours once a sample is taken from baby Caben - if Steph agrees to it.
And Steph later released an emotional statement, admitting she feels "humiliated".
Stephanie Davis' full statement
"Stephanie has felt humiliated by Jeremy denying his own son and foolishly announcing publicly his request for a DNA test.
"Jeremy has caused Stephanie massive amount of stress, pressure and upset throughout her pregnancy, ruining what for most women is one of the most special times of their lives.
"Jeremy has at no point throughout the pregnancy or after the birth been in contact directly with Stephanie. Jeremy was categorically not banned from the birth, nor did he ever ask to attend.
"Stephanie confirmed to Jeremy that she was pregnant 10 days after they split, any suggestion that she was unfaithful to him is to detract away from his numerous infidelities whilst in the relationship.
"Jeremy has been given the option at all times to take part in a DNA test, because of past behaviour Stephanie has requested that this is handled via the correct channels and managed by her solicitor.
"Jeremy to date has continually refused the terms of the agreement that Stephanie has proposed, which he was given the right to make his own amendments to suit him.
"This confidentiality agreement was made to ensure privacy and protect Caben-Albi.
"Stephanie as a single mother reserves the right to undertake any work she sees fit to provide for their son, her priority.
"It is upsetting to think that Jeremy wouls stoop so low to challenge the mother of his child to a DNA test live on TV when it was already in hand. This shows how little concern he has for Caben and this is already being dealt with privately.
"Caben and Stephanie have only been out of hospital for a few weeks, however after spending 9 months denying that he is the babies father, we cannot believe that Jeremy has the audacity to turn the situation around and bring all of this very much into a media circus, on his terms only."
It read: "Stephanie has felt humiliated by Jeremy denying his own son and foolishly announcing publicly his request for a DNA test.
"Jeremy has caused Stephanie massive amount of stress, pressure and upset throughout her pregnancy, ruining what for most women is one of the most special times of their lives."
She went on to claim Jeremy has never once been in touch throughout the pregnancy, and insisted he wasn't banned from the birth.
The statement added: "Stephanie confirmed to Jeremy that she was pregnant 10 days after they split, any suggestion that she was unfaithful to him is to detract away from his numerous infidelities whilst in the relationship.

"Jeremy to date has continually refused the terms of the agreement that Stephanie has proposed, which he was given the right to make his own amendments to suit him."
The star insisted the "confidentiality agreement" was made to ensure they kept their privacy and "protect Caben-Albi".
Calling her son her "priority", Steph's statement went on to slam Jeremy for "stopping low" and challenging her to the test live on TV, "when it's already in hand".
It goes on: "This shows how little concern he has for Caben and this is already being dealt with privately."
The statement concludes: "We cannot believe that Jeremy has the audacity to turn the situation around and bring all of this very much into a media circus, on his terms only."
Stephanie also shared an old tweet sent by Jeremy months ago, where he appeared to insist he wasn't the dad.
She then quoted him above it, saying: "I never said the baby wasn't mine, all I said was that there was a doubt because she was with other men in the first two weeks of April".
