Cheryl had previously told the Irish crowds in Dublin over the weekend she was struggling with her voice during the opening dates of Girls Aloud's comeback tour, which featured a 20-strong song setlist.

So no wonder she was eager for a spot of respite at the capital's 3Arena and, during the mid-tempo track, tapped Nadine on the arm for some support.

The Irish lass, dressed in an identical gold dress to Cheryl, looked confused before nodding in agreement and seeming to practise the lyrics.

Yet the Go To Work singer had little time before she needed to belt out the vocals.

She was heard singing Cheryl's line: "If you want to forgive me start again, if you want to be with me in my arms," as the brunette smiled in support.

They then finished the rest of the track, with its smooth dance sways and arm movements.

One fan was quick to pick up on the moment after a video was posted on X, and wrote: "The look of panic when she asks 'what is it'"

Another noted: "It’s the flinch back just as she’s about to sing. Sheer panic!"

A third then gushed: "Nadine is SO iconic."

One fan gushed: "I love her," as another speculated the reason for the lyric switch-up and put: "Poorly? Out of breath?"

SAVAGE SWIPE

The move came after Cheryl took a savage swipe at Nadine during another of Girls Aloud's Dublin gigs.

The former X Factor judge made a quip about a historic telly moment which has become emblazoned on the memories of die-hard Nadine fans.

It centred on Nadine's stint on Irish Popstars, where she lied about her age in front of the judges - who included Louis Walsh - to get on the show.

"You know why? To make sure Nadine remembered her passport."

On the show Nadine told the camera: “I’m Nadine Coyle.

"I’m from Lark Hill in Derry. Date of birth 15th of the sixth 1985, making me a Gemini.

"And… what date of birth did I say there?”

This would have made her 16 at the time, but all contestants had to be a minimum age of 18.

Cheryl recently revealed her real reason she agreed to return for the reunion tour - which is honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding, who passed away from breast cancer.

Fans were left in tears during a special tribute section where Sarah's vocals were used.

GREAT MATES

Nadine and Cheryl meanwhile appear to have built bridges after their former feud.

Cheryl and Nadine became caught up in a public war-of-words after Girls Aloud went on hiatus in 2009 and eventually broke up.

Nadine made a series of shock claims that she’d been left out of the band’s decision to split.

Cheryl then hit back shortly after and said: “She’s full of s**t! She was the one who wanted to make a solo record.

"Which is why we took the hiatus. So she’s not now going to say that we broke up the band.”

In 2018 Nadine went one step further and denied ever even being friends with Cheryl.
