The Apprentice star Dillon St Paul ‘re-evalutaing’ his life after undergoing emergency surgery on a brain tumour
THE Apprentice star Dillon St Paul has revealed he "thought he was dying" after undergoing emergency brain surgery.
Dillon, who found fame on the last series of the reality show, was told he had a brain tumour after suffering a seizure at work in Dublin.
Writing in an emotional called 'From Boardroom to Operating Theatre', Dillon described his terror at suddenly going from talking about the Spice Girls to having a seizure while chatting to his colleagues.
He said: "My left hand felt like it was moving in thick jelly and my speech froze.
"I say speech rather than mouth because it felt like the power to communicate deserted me not just the mechanism, if that makes sense.
"This was the moment my first seizure began. The single most terrifying thing you can ever imagine.
"The left side of my face felt like it was melting and being pulled to the floor like gooey molasses."
Dillon was rushed to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and told how he woke up in a "world of pain" afterwards.
He explained: "What they found was something called a low-grade glioma tumour.
"It had caused my seizure and was located on the right side of my brain in an area I was told was 'easily operable."
The art director also revealed how he pined for his pal Jessica Cunningham - who was in Celebrity Big Brother at the time - and how rather than a boardroom, it was "facing brain surgery that ultimately took me to 'task'."
"During that first night I genuinely felt like I was dying. I cried a lot and pined for friends and family.
"I really pined for my friend Jessica from The Apprentice but she was in the CBB house in the UK at the time and I couldn’t reach her properly. Life’s a b***h."

The 37-year-old shared pictures of his scar, including the staples in the side of his head which he described as his "war wound".
He captioned it: "[The] staples held together the wound from my craniotomy surgery. Even now I can tell how sad I am in this image."
Dillon is now recovering and said he can't believe he thought trying to win a job and £250,000 from Lord Sugar was the toughest thing he's ever done.
He said: "I thought The Apprentice was the hardest thing I’d ever done and now that seems ridiculous – it was just a TV show with some really mean people in a boardroom.
"Now I know life is too short, so be nice!"
