EASTENDERS viewers have praised the soap for highlighting the issue of revenge porn after Louise Mitchell shamed Shakil Kazemi by sending his nude pictures around their school.

Shakil had sent the intimate images to his girlfriend Bex Fowler but she was betrayed by Louise, who wanted to get revenge on her pal's boyfriend.

In Monday's episode, Shakil had to return to school where many of his peers had seen the pictures he believed would remain private.

Viewers watched as he was mocked and had to endure endless taunts from other teenagers as he walked through the corridors.

Shakil, played by Shaheen Jafargholi, was praised by fans of the show for the way he portrayed the role. Viewers also took to Twitter to congratulate EastEnders bosses on how well they were handling the hard hitting storyline.

However it seems some fans weren’t prepared for the shocking fight scene between Shakil and a bully who had been goading him all day.

The violent scenes started in a school corridor before it moved out into the playground, with Shakil being knocked to the ground.

As he lay there he was punched and kicked in the head by the teen.

Although the fight was broken up by teachers, Shakil was left bloodied and bruised.

With Shakil's school life now in hell, will he confess all to his mother and will Louise, or indeed Bex, be prosecuted for the betrayal?
