I’m A Celebrity bosses desperate to sign ex-Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas after success of his brother Adam
Just a few months ago his soap star brother came third in jungle
RYAN Thomas is at the top of I'm A Celebrity bosses' wishlist to enter the jungle after his brother Adam's popularity on the 2016 series.
The 32-year-old, who starred as Coronation Street's Jason Grimshaw until last year, is a prime target for ITV who are keen to get him back on screens.
A source close to the actor told The Sun online: "There was speculation before Adam went into the jungle that maybe Ryan would do it – but circumstances went against that and Adam went in and did brilliantly.
"Ryan would be superb in the jungle and there has never been a family member following a family member into the outback ever in all the series.
"Fans would no doubt get behind him like they did Adam, and it'd be interesting to see if he reacts to the bushtucker trials in the same funny way."
While Roy's Rolls might not be the Ritz, his cheap sandwiches will look gourmet compared to the platters of maggots and testicles that make up the show's gruesome food challenges.
At the moment Ryan - dad to 7-year-old Scarlett with ex-girlfriend and Corrie co-star Tina O'Brien - is Stateside trying to crack Hollywood.
He's currently trying to see if he can emulate his success in America after 16 years as one of the UK's top soap stars playing builder Jason Grimshaw.
Audition season in California is the make or break time for hundreds of aspiring actors who believe they have what it takes to become an international star.

The source added that Ryan loved watching ex-Emmerdale actor brother Adam, 28, on last year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here where he came third in the hit ITV1 show, beaten only by Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt.
When he left the famous cobbles with Hollywood in his sights he admitted he found the work, at times, repetitive.
He added: "I feel like sometimes you go round in circles with storylines and being in a soap is like being in a bubble.
"It's time to pop it, test myself and take myself out of my comfort zone."
