Towie stars including Chloe Sims and Georgia Kousoulou caught up in terrifying brawl in Tenerife McDonalds after being attacked ‘by group of thugs’
The reality stars were left bruised and battered after a late night takeaway dash ended in disaster
TOWIE stars Chloe Sims and Georgia Kousoulou were left bruised and battered after a late night attack during filming in Tenerife.
The reality TV babes, plus co-stars Liam Gatsby, Tommy Mallet and two other crew members, were set upon by a group of thugs outside a branch of McDonald’s after a boozy evening at the Papagayos nightclub.
The hooligans, believed to be of Moroccan descent, laid into both the male and female members of the Towie party in the 3am brawl, which the ITVBe show’s reps claim was “unprovoked.”
The shaken reality stars were nursing injuries on their arrival back to Essex last week.
A source said: “Starving cast and crew headed to McDonald’s before getting taxis back to the hotel.
“While waiting for their food, the men got aggressive and started shouting in Spanish, before a full-on fight broke out once they left the restaurant.
“The girls were screaming after being laid into by the thugs as Tommy and Liam tried to fight back.
“Police were called and the thugs ran off, but everyone involved was left badly shaken.”
The Towie stars had been flanked by security during their entire stay in the Spanish party island, where they have been filming a Tenerife special since last Sunday.
But on this occasion, the party involved were not chaperoned as they left the nightclub in the early hours of Thursday morning believing they were heading for a taxi.
A Towie spokeswoman said: “Our cast and crew were subject to an unprovoked attack following a night out in Tenerife.
“Thankfully the group were able to get to the safety of the hotel with no one seriously injured. The team are now safely back in the UK.”
This morning Chloe was pictured out and about completing tasks in Essex after returning home from filming.
She arrived back earlier than Gemma Collins, who was finally allowed to fly home after being struck down by a mystery illness.
The CBB star was unable to come back to Essex with the rest of her cast mates after being hospitalised in the Canary Islands for an undisclosed medical issue.
Gemma shared the happy news she was finally able to jet home, posting a picture on Instagram to prove she was out of hospital.
Tagging it: “Homeward BOUND”, Gemma showed off her legs and designer handbag, with fans quickly commenting how pleased they were she was finally on the mend.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday, the bubbly reality star shared a picture of her castmates sat together at a large table.

She captioned the snap saying: “Sadly not flying back with this lot today but can’t wait to see you all when back in Essex.”
Last week The Sun revealed that James ‘Arg’ Argent would not be appearing in the upcoming series due to ‘wellbeing’ concerns.
An insider said: “Arg doesn’t feel ready to return to Towie. He wants to get himself in a stronger position before he commits to sharing his life on camera again and filming full time.
“He wants to return when he is able to give it 100%.”
Arg has been open about his personal problems since checking into rehab for a month in 2015.
Speaking after his stint in the facility, he told Now magazine at the time: “Underneath everything I was
badly depressed. I was anxious and tired.”
Describing how his partying has spiralled out of control, he added: “Everything I cared about didn’t mean anything to me anymore.
“I’m embarrassed to say this but so many people tried [to help me] and got pushed away.
“Mark [Wright] told me I wasn’t invited to his wedding [to Michelle Keegan] if I didn’t change. When I went into rehab he got in touch because he was so proud of me.”
The team at Towie and his close friends are “incredibly supportive” of him putting his well-being first.
