EastEnders star Danny Dyer opens up about parenting ‘nightmare’ as he reveals he struggles to cope with son’s tantrums

EAST End hardman Danny Dyer has a new toughie to contend with - his three-year-old toddler.

The Cockney soap star has lifted the lid on the tussles that go on inside his own home when mischievous Arty, his son with wife Joanne Mas, decides to wreak havoc.

EastEnders landlord Danny, who plays Mick Carter, revealed: "He walks up to a room and scopes the gaff to see what he's going to smash up first.

"Then he'll work his way round the room and smash up everything."

He added: "He is a beaut but an absolute nightmare."

: "It's like borrowing a baby orangutan and it just wants to eat and smash things up.

"And don't want to sleep.

"It's killing me, look at the state of me."

Meanwhile Danny will continue to front new Channel 4 show Parenting for Idiots.

The funny three-part-series sees celebrities share their child-rearing horror stories from exploding nappies to trips to A&E.

He shares amusing anecdotes from parenting his three children Danni, 20, Sunni, 9, and Arty, 3.

Meanwhile back in Mick Carter mode, we exclusively revealed Danny had thrown the show into turmoil by hinting he may QUIT Albert Square.

The star, who has played pub landlord Mick Carter since 2013, says he is keen to pursue other projects.

His BBC contract, believed to be around £400,000 a year, runs out in October.

At the National Television Awards this week Danny, 39, told The Sun on Sunday: “We’ll have to see then.

“Four years is a long time. It’s been really rewarding but there’s other stuff out there.

“I’d love to show other sides to me, I loved theatre and all that.”

He insisted no formal discussions had taken place with the BBC about his future.

Last month it was reported soap bosses were so desperate to keep Danny on board they were planning a lucrative new deal.
