THE Voice coach Will.I.Am was made to pay for his jokey behaviour after he accidentally pushed his red button for an act he didn't want.
In a preview clip of Saturday night's episode, the Black Eyed Peas star left his fellow coaches in stitches as he ended up putting an unwanted act on his team.
The musician had been enjoying the performance and was pretending to rub his red button in order to tease the audience when he accidentally used enough force to press it down properly.
The audience screamed with a mix of joy and shock while Will jumped in horror as his chair spun round.
Jennifer Hudson's jaw dropped at the mistake while Sir Tom Jones began to chuckle over the incident.
It comes after the Black Eyed Peas star didn’t turn his chair for hopeful Tanya Lacey – who has written for Will.I.Am in the past.
Describing the moment Will failed to recognise her as “surreal”, Tanya revealed she’s open to an offer from him.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Tanya said: “It was so surreal, that was the first time I’ve ever met him.
“Will can steal me back so we’ll see how it unfolds, it’s a funny situation.”
When Tanya appeared on The Voice she blew Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Gavin away with her vocal abilities.
Will was furious he didn't turn for his songwriter Tanya
When Will finally turned around after she’d finished, 31-year-old Tanya told him she’d written his 2011 track T.H.E (The Hardest Ever), which he recorded with Jennifer Lopez.
Will later admitted he was furious at himself for not getting in on the action, saying: I should have turned around.
“I'm a bone head for not turning. I should've turned around.”
Later, during a chat with a delighted Gavin and the rest of the coaches, Will added: “She could win the whole damn competition, she could win the whole show.”
One tweeted: “Will isn't registering her at all.. embarrassing" while another added: "Oh dear @IAmWill didn't turn for someone who wrote one of his own songs #TheVoice”.
Another agreed, writing: “Hold on.. so does will.i.am not recognise her? even after she had her name and he worked with her. Mess.”
