GEORGE Michael’s Careless Whisper has been voted as the nation’s favourite song — for a sixth year in a row.
The track — written by the late singer and Wham! partner Andrew Ridgeley — topped Smooth Radio’s annual All Time Top 500.
It was chosen in a vote by more than 60,000 listeners and was its seventh time at the top.
Released in 1984, it featured on album Make It Big.
The song has also had more than one billion views on YouTube.
George, who died aged 53 in 2016, was also voted the station’s favourite artist last year.

In December, his hit Last Christmas was No1 for the first time, 39 years after its release.
