Met Gala 2024 LIVE — Demi Moore named ‘forever an icon’ in daring wallpaper look as fans call her ‘best dressed’
DEMI Moore proved why she's always been that girl at the 2024 Met Gala.
The movie star wore a custom dress from British-American designer Harris Reed that was created out of vintage archival wallpaper.
Fans were stunned by the daring ensemble, with one writing on X, formerly Twitter, "Demi Moore - forever an icon."
"Demi Moore is officially best dressed of the night!" another declared.
This year's theme was The Garden of Time, inspired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art's newest exhibition, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
Some celebrities took the theme literally, embodying visual representations of time and gardens, while others opted to explore what it meant to "reawaken" something in fashion.
Other looks that had fashion fans talking included Zendaya's Maison Margiela ensemble, Jennifer Lopez's Schiaparelli gown, and Sydney Sweeney's bold new hairstyle.

Ariana Grande revealed to La La Anthony that fans will "know more soon" when asked about the Wicked film.
Her co-star Cynthia Erivo crashed the interview to say hi and added that everyone in the cast and crew has worked "very very hard" on the film.

The men are lacking
Fashion fans are very critical of the Met Gala men this year online.
"THE BOYS ARE SO BORING LIKE WHY EVEN BOTHER ATTENDING," one viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter,
"Me seeing men arrive in boring black suits yet again," another added.
"Chris hemsworth is one of the co-chairs and his outfit is giving wedding at the beach… i hate men," another added.

Over 1,000 pro-Palestine demonstrators have been spotted marching to the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art where the 2024 Met Gala is being held.
The crowd has removed steel barricades blocking off traffic leading to the gala, prompting a large response from the NYPD.
The protesters are a part of the group Within Our Lifetime and they called for a "Day of Rage" protest.
Tyla doesn't care that she can't sit

Some fashion fans are slamming Rita Ora's Met Gala look online, with one even comparing her gown to a "beaded curtain."
"Erm... #RitaOra I have so many questions,"; another wrote.
Rita told that the beads aged "back to the first and second century BC," adding they are, "older, I think, than anyone on this planet."
Some fashion admirers loved the look, tweeting, "Rita Ora’s team sourced beads from across continents and archives around the world spanning across time & history to create this look, and if THAT’S not an incredible interpretation of this theme nothing is."

Fashion fans are not impressed by this year's Met Gala looks, with one writing on X, formerly Twitter, "the met gala is the one place where you’re supposed to wear ART why do these celebrities show up looking so boring ?? like stay home if you not gonna wear something exciting."
"WHERE IS THE REAWAKENING FASHION???? GARDEN OF TIME?!??" another demanded.
"Don’t think i can take another beige outfit," a third added.
