TV presenter secretly gets engaged to actor boyfriend after months of rumours as they plan ‘classy’ summer ceremony
CONGRATULATIONS to model Alexa Chung and actor Tom Sturridge, who I can confirm are engaged.
They have been surrounded by rumours for several months that he had popped the question, but I’ve learned she has told the happy news to her nearest and dearest — and is gearing up to tie the knot.
The couple are expected to get married in the summer, two years after they went public with their romance.
A source said: “Alexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and she is over the moon.
“She is in a great place and seems completely head over heels for him. They’re a great match.
“They have been hard at work planning a wedding with all of their close pals there.

“It won’t be a massive over-the-top affair but a smaller, classier and cooler bash.”
Alexa has had a few famous partners over the years, but this is the first time she has got serious enough to become engaged.
In the early Noughties she dated fashion photographer David Titlow, before a four-year romance with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner.
She went on to have a two-year relationship with hunky actor Alexander Skarsgard and later dated confectionery heir Orson Fry.

Tom, who has starred in movies including The Boat That Rocked and Far From The Madding Crowd, was previously with actress Sienna Miller from 2011 to 2015 and they have an 11-year-old daughter together.
Awkward photos
Thankfully though, they all play happy families, as Sienna revealed during an interview with Vogue mag last year.
Sienna, who is now with actor Oli Green, said of their situation: “It’s genuinely very loving and cosy and great. It’s ideal. It’s incredible. We are very lucky.”
That’s very understanding, given there were awkward photos in 2022 when Alexa and Tom confirmed their romance with a snog at the Wimbledon tennis — in seats directly behind Sienna.
Not many exes would be able to laugh that off quite as easily . . .
