The second series of Escape to the Wild launched last week giving viewers a glimpse into the lives of Brits who have escaped the city in favour of a simpler life.
We’ve got all the details…
When is Escape To The Wild on?
The third and final episode of the show is aired at 9pm tonight, Thursday, February 9.
In this week's episode, Jimmy travels to the Uganda to meet a couple from Aberdeen who bought a farm on the banks of the River Nile.
They have to contend with insects and tropical diseases as they bring up their five-month-old son and try to prevent their farm being enveloped by the advancing river.
What is the Escape To The Wild about?
In the adventurous series Jimmy has travelled around the world uncovering incredible stories of ordinary British families who have left home behind in favour of a simpler lifestyle.
These families, who have set up camp in some of the most remote places on earth, introduce Jimmy to their new way of life.
He questions whether exchanging the stresses of modern living for a more basic existence has made these daring Brits any happier.
In his quest to establish whether we can learn anything from their experience, he immerses himself in their lives by working alongside a different family in a wildly different environment.
His experiment has taken him from the gold rush Yukon territory of Northern Canada, to the jungle interior of a remote Indonesian island, to the banks of the River Nile in Uganda.
In the series Jimmy has been constantly challenged, and has seen first-hand what life like in these remote places.
Who is Jimmy Doherty?
This series presenter Kevin McCloud has stepped down from fronting the show and Jimmy Doherty has taken his place.
When asked how the two’s presenting styles differ Jimmy said: “I suppose the only difference is he’s much more from the world of architecture, and sitting in offices looking at drawings, and I’m much more visceral in terms of being out and about in the wilderness and doing stuff.”
Jimmy Doherty is a Suffolk based farmer and TV presenter.
Jimmy and his wife also have two daughters Molly Rose and Cora Mae.
What else has Jimmy been in?
You may remember him from the BBC Two documentary Jimmy’s Farm which followed him and his wife Michaela Furney as he set up the Essex Pig Company.
He is also a childhood friend of Jamie Oliver and the pair hosted both Jamie & Jimmy's Food Fight Club and Jamie & Jimmy's Friday Night Feast together on Channel 4.
Jimmy said: “My presenting career has been quite varied – I’ve done everything from science stuff all the way through to more populist programmes like Friday Night Feast.
“I think this is much less of a presenter-led documentary, and more me being followed on a journey. It’s always interesting to test yourself.”
