Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan hints Rosie Webster will sex up her return to the Cobbles by having a fling with ladies’ man Adam Barlow
SASSY Rosie Webster never shied away from controversy during her first stint in Coronation Street and it is set to be a case of deja vu as she sets her sights on Barlow hunk Adam on her return to the cobbles.
Actress Helen Flanagan has teased there could be love on the cards the moment her character returns to the ITV soap and revealed: "Something might happen with Adam but because he's a bit of a ladies' man I don't know if she'd have an actual relationship with him."
Rosie's explosive return from America to Wetherfield with her sister, Sophie, sees her immediately embroiled in a drugs scandal with Adam.
The sisters bring the drugs back from the states, discovering them in a bag of sweets, and swiftly attempt to dispose of them.
Yet Ken Barlow's grandson was then ago seen digging up Rosie and Sophie’s stash after initially trying to buy them from the siblings.
Last week, we revealed Adam will acquire the drugs after he discovered Rosie Webster had buried them in Tim Metcalfe’s allotment.
His quest for money sees him set up a meeting with Mr Big and his girlfriend (played by Hollyoaks star Kerry Bennet) in the dead of night.
But while Adam gets to walk off with the cash, he leaves the dealer’s girlfriend in danger.
Last month, Helen was pictured back on the Coronation Street set for the first time since announcing she would be reprising her role as Rosie.
The actress was snapped smiling as she drove on set, ready to start filming her first scenes for the New Year.
Appearing in great spirits to get back to work, Helen will be reunited with her co-stars, including her on-screen parents Sally and Kevin Webster.
The actress, 26, who played ditzy Rosie from 2000-2012, is set to return to our screens on the Manchester based soap in February.
Talking about her return, Helen previously said: “I’m so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”
Since stepping out of the spotlight, former glamour girl Helen has transformed from busty blonde to demure mum while focusing on her family with boyfriend Scott Sinclair.
Coronation Street Producer Kate Oates said: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we.
“With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit.
“We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”
