Did Stephanie Davis REALLY name her son Caben-Albi after a man who ‘chatted her up when she was pregnant’?
Ex-Hollyoaks actress revealed she was inspired to give tot 'movie star name' after chance encounter in Jersey
STEPHANIE Davis has finally unveiled her son to the world - but for many fans, they were more interested to know his name than see his face.
Appearing on the cover of this week's OK! Magazine, the 23-year-old gently cradles little Caben-Albi George.
The adorable tot - whose dad might be Jeremy McConnell or Love Island shagger Josh Ritchie - nuzzles up to his mum in the stunning shoot.
The new mum and former Hollyoaks actor had previously been really vocal about how she would name her first born after her dead grandad.
However, after a few days in Jersey she did a bit of a U-turn and revealed she was going to name the baby after a 'random lad'.
Back in August, a few months after revealing she was pregnant via a promptly deleted comment on her ex's Instagram, Steph jetted off for a fun girls' holiday.
While away, she explained how she met a man in a bar who would go on to play a HUGE role in her son's life - he would inspire his name.
, she revealed: "I've picked my boy's name! It's not Albi but that will definitely be a middle name.
"I'm going to keep it a secret for now but I will say it's something different – I've not heard it before! It's like a movie star name.
"We got it when I was getting chatted up with my friends recently and he said his name when he left – we just all looked at each other and knew, so thanks to him!
"My mum loves it but my brothers weren't so sure to start with – but I think they want a proper lad's name."
It's a surprising U-turn from the pretty star, as she had been adamant she would honour her departed grandad by keeping his name in the family.
She also spoke to OK! Magazine about her unborn son's future moniker, saying: “I definitely think I’ll call him Albi after my grandad."
And showing just how far the relationship between her and Jezza has deteriorated between the summer and now, she said at the time: "I’d like his middle name to be Patrick.
"It’s my brother’s middle name and it’s also Irish, so I think it’s a nice nod to Jeremy and his family.
“I got a DVD of the scan and was going to send it to Jeremy but he decided to have no involvement during the pregnancy, so it’s his loss.
"I went straight to the toilet and cried my eyes out.”
Jez and Steph's split was public and vicious, with him denying paternity and accusing her of being a prostitute, outbursts she has blamed on an alleged drug addiction.
There was even more drama online, with trolls accusing the petite brunette of wearing a 'fake bump' to help hide the fact that she isn't really pregnant.
