Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers confirms his split from Towie’s Lauren Pope as he denies spitting food at her during drunken row in Dubai
GEORDIE Shore star Aaron Chalmers has confirmed his split from Lauren Pope but admits to not ruling out a future reunion with the Essex beauty.
The couple split after Aaron allegedly spat food at Lauren during an explosive row but he furiously denies the claims as he admits: “I wouldn’t waste food.”
In an exclusive chat with the Sun’s Bizarre column Aaron said: “The truth is we broke up because of the distance but I would never say never about giving things another go.
“Apparently I spat food at Lauren. 1. I am not a tramp 2. If I spat food at her she would knock us out and 3. I wouldn’t waste food.
“The story was laughable; everything that was said in the story was lies. We split because of the distance and working commitments – it wasn’t really fair on either of us.
“I’ve seen her in the press for so long and I thought she was going to be stuck up but she was the complete opposite.
“I definitely wasn’t seeing anyone else when Lauren and I were dating – she’s an amazing girl it’s just the wrong time for us at this moment."
It was reported that Aaron spat food at Lauren and trashed their hotel during a holiday in Dubai.
But the Ex on the Beach star only has fond memories of their trip and says they were completely loved up during the romantic getaway.
He added: “The picture posted on Instagram was taken the night we supposedly had that row.
“There’s no way we would be looking that loved up if we had just had a blazing argument.”
Reality star Lauren had been secretly dating Aaron since May after the pair met at a club where she was DJing and he was doing an appearance.
Before that Aaron dated his Geordie Shore co-star Marnie Simpson but they split shortly after filming for the latest series ended.
Marnie moved on with Towie star Lewis Bloor, who also used to date Lauren, after meeting him on Celebrity Big Brother.
They pair split after four months but have recently rekindled their romance.
In a recent column Marnie wrote: “I can’t believe my ex Aaron Chalmers is dating Lauren Pope
“I wouldn’t have put them together and it’s weird that she’s one of Lewis’ exes.”
