Find out what JB had to say about joining Strictly
JB GILL has enjoyed an incredible career since he shot to fame in JLS.
As well as being a talented singer and TV presenter, the One Shot is now set to show of his fancy footwork on Strictly Come Dancing.
Born Jonathan Benjamin Gill on December 7, 1986, JB is a singer, dancer, and TV presenter.
He spent the first five years of his life in Antigua before moving to England with his family.
JB's musical talent was clear from a young age, playing the recorder, piano, flute and guitar by the age of seven.
Despite toying with the idea of a rugby career and beginning to study theology at King’s College London, JB always felt the pull of performing.
It was in 2006 that he joined forces with three other guys - Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes, and Aston Merrygold - to create the band JLS.
JLS formed in 2006, but shot to fame in 2008 when they auditioned for The X Factor.
They went all the way to the final in the competition, with Louis Walsh as their judge, but they narrowly lost out to the series winner, Alexandra Burke.
They were offered a recording contract with Epic Records and went on to have huge success with singles like Everybody in Love, and Beat again.
In 2013, JLS announced to their fans that they had decided to go their separate ways following a farewell album, tour and book.
However, luckily for fans they reunited in 2020 and have been together ever since.
Along with being in JLS, JB has also enjoyed a successful TV career as a presenter.
Since 2017, he has been part of the presenting line-up for Songs of Praise.
JB also enjoys life as a farmer, on his working farm in Kent.
Chloe and JB started dating in 2008, after she caught his eye as a backing dancer for JLS.
They couple tied the knot in May 2014.
They now live with their family on their working farm.
Together with Chloe, JB has two children.
They welcomed their son, Ace Jeremiah Gill, in 2015.
In April 2018, they revealed that they were expecting a second child together.
The couple then had their daughter, Chiara Sapphire Gill, in July 2018.
I’m raring to go to and looking forward to showing off some new skills to the JLS boys.

Revealing the news at the time, JB told his fans on Instagram: “These are the hands that hold my future.
“So proud to announce the beautiful baby girl born to @chloesiobhangill and I by God’s grace, on 30th July 2018.
“Our little boy @Acejgill is simply the BEST big brother a girl could ask for and she is literally lighting up our lives with every moment that passes."
On August 5, 2024, it was announced that JB would be part of the line-up of Strictly Come Dancing, when it kicks off in autumn 2024.
He joins the likes of Chris McCausland for the 21st season of the show.
JB said: “I danced in the Strictly Christmas special over a decade ago and loved it, so when I got the call to join Strictly this year, it was an immediate yes from me.
"I’m raring to go to and looking forward to showing off some new skills to the JLS boys.
"From muddy wellies on the fields of my farm to sequins and Glitterballs - I’m here to embrace it all!”
JB danced with Ola Jordan in the 2012 festive installment.
