Stephanie Davis reveals son Caben-Albi George has given her ‘something to live for’ after admitting she was suicidal
Actress admits falling pregnant saved her life
STEPHANIE Davis has credited her baby son Caben-Albi George with saving her life as she spiralled into a dark depression last year and considered taking her own life.
The actress admits she was feeling suicidal following her split from Jeremy McConnell, but her pregnancy gave her something to live for.
Steph, 23, has finally introduced her new baby to the world after weeks of waiting, and revealed she gave him an unusual name as a tribute to her granddad.
She has now opened up about the tough times she went through last year after the breakdown of her relationship with the Irish hunk.
Steph admits she was on a downward spiral and felt suicidal.
"I was in such a dark place after me and Jeremy split. I was on a downward spiral.
I was suicidal, but Caben gave me something to live for."
She was embroiled in a public spat with Jez after their split, and it turned even nastier after she announced her pregnancy.
Tattooed hunk Jez has always questioned his ex-girlfriend’s claims that he is the dad, and he has insisted he has already asked Steph for a DNA test.
A representative for Jeremy has told The Sun Online exclusively that the star has asked, but is still waiting for answers.
The spokesperson told us: “We can confirm Jeremy has approached Steph to ask for a paternity test.
“To which he currently has not had a response.”
Steph and Jez have been embroiled in a public war of words since their high-profile split last year and her pregnancy announcement.
She went public with her baby news shortly after the pair parted ways, insisting her ex-boyfriend is the father.
Jeremy has denied her claims and distanced himself from the TV star, but last week he vowed to step up if he found out the baby is his.
Following the news she had given birth, Jeremy released a statement to say he would “step up” if he was his son, and now it has been claimed he is keen to find out as quickly as possible.
Jeremy said in an exclusive statement to the Sun Online soon after news of the birth broke: “I am delighted that Steph has safely had the baby, of course if he is my son I will absolutely step up and do what I can to support him.
"Any timescale for that is in Steph’s hands now."
However the new mum was quick to hit back at her ex, insisting he had never made contact.
