EastEnders star Danny Dyer throws soap into crisis as he hints he may QUIT Albert Square
DANNY Dyer has thrown EastEnders into crisis by hinting he could quit the soap.
The star, who has played pub landlord Mick Carter since 2013, says he is keen to pursue other projects.
His BBC contract, believed to be around £400,000 a year, runs out in October.
At the National Television Awards this week Danny, 39, told The Sun on Sunday: “We’ll have to see then.
“Four years is a long time. It’s been really rewarding but there’s other stuff out there.

“I’d love to show other sides to me, I loved theatre and all that.”
Danny, who has previously appeared in two Harold Pinter plays, said: “He believed in me and it meant the world to me.”
He insisted no formal discussions had taken place with the BBC about his future.
Last month it was reported soap bosses were so desperate to keep Danny on board they were planning a lucrative new deal.
Danny has starred in films such as Human Traffic, Mean Machine and The Football Factory as well as appearing in Harold Pinter plays Celebration and No Man’s Land.
