Danny Dyer reveals wife Jo’s marriage proposal was a huge mistake

DANNY Dyer has revealed that his wife Jo accidentally proposed to him.

The childhood sweethearts, who have been together since 1992, tied the knot in 2016.

But prior to that, Jo, 47, said no to Danny, 46, a whopping four times when he got down on one knee.

The couple, who share three kids together, eventually got engaged in 2015 and tied the knot the following year.

However Danny and Jo have revealed that they "got married by accident" after Danny thought that Jo had proposed to him.

Speaking on James and Clair Buckley’s In Sickness and in Health podcast, Jo said: "It was Valentine’s Day and you were at home.

"I went to Millie’s Cookies, bought the last muffin, which said ‘Will You Marry Me’, but I didn’t mean it.

“It was just the last one there. So I thought ‘I’m going to have that tonight’.

“Forgot to eat the muffin, left it downstairs, went to bed...

"He’s come up three in the morning, ‘Yes, yes, yes’. And I thought ‘What?’ I was so embarrassed.”

A shocked Danny then asked: "Are you telling me you weren’t going to propose to me?"

Jo replied: “No, I wasn’t going to propose.”

Danny joked: "We got married by accident. What a romantic story.”

The pair have been together for over 20 years after first meeting at school aged just 14.
