Loose Women’s Ayda Field ‘mortified’ after her rendition of hubby Robbie Willliams’ hit Angels hits a bum note at the NTAs
The panellist is left red faced, but her co-stars said they enjoyed it
AYDA Field was left “motified” last night, after her attempt to sing her husband’s hit Angels at the NTA’s backfired.
The Loose Woman star was on the stage with fellow panellist Penny Lancaster when her rendition of Robbie’s song hit a bum note.
The ladies were presenting the award for Best Serial Drama when, encouraged by the LW girls, she started singing the famous tune.
She said: “Sorry, I’ve always wanted to do this…’ before bursting into the first line of the track.
But awkwardly the audience didn’t react, and the crowd stayed silent.
But her Loose Women co-stars were quick to big her up on today’s show, saying how much they liked it.
It comes as her Loose Women panel admitted they were “gutted” they didn’t win at the NTAs.
While opening their show today, Andrea McLean made an effort to congratulate Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The host also revealed that their loss would also mean that Katie Price would not be singing live on the show.
She said: “We are celebrating just the fact that we got there last night and we are inspired and moved to make this show for you every single day and we are genuinely devastated not to have won it for you.
“We love to make you laugh, we love to make you feel less alone to brighten up your lunchtime and of course to get you talking.”
Andrea then quipped: “So, sadly, the worst bit about not winning means that Katie Price won’t be singing live.”
Kaye Adams laughed: “Gutted!”
Last night Nadia Sawalha was caught swearing on camera as Loose Women once again lost out to This Morning.
As their defeat was announced and the team behind the ITV show took to the stage, the camera cut to the Loose Women team the moment Nadia was seen telling a pal behind her: “Every f***ing year! EVERY f***ing year!”
The win brings This Morning’s NTA gong total up to an impressive twelve – while Loose Women have four.
Today Nadia defended her f-word rant by posting a defiant tweet.
She shared a meme showing her blunder, and wrote: “That moment when the camera is on you and you’re not quite ready with your gracious loser face #NTAs2017.”
Nadia added in a later tweet: “I’m fabulous & fifty ( ok 52!) and I can do whatever the fig I like !Those that mind don’t matter those that matter don’t mind !…”
