EastEnders’s Whitney Carter SNOGS father-in-law Mick Carter after being saved from horror bus crash
The devastating aftermath of the shocking accident was laid bare with Whitney Carter, Denise Fox and Martin Fowler rushed to hospital
THE devastating aftermath of the EastEnders bus crash has been revealed and it was Whitney Carter snogging her father-in-law Mick Carter.
The barmaid was being comforted by her father-in-law after coming around from being knocked unconscious by the horror bus smash when she leaned in to kiss him and the pair snogged.
Unfortunately Denise Fox caught the pair's illicit snog and just managed to delay Lee Carter from catching his wife and dad at it in the hospital.
The pair had previously locked lips causing all manner of trouble between Mick's wife Linda, and Whitney's husband, Lee.
But now the pair look set to share another secret as Linda remains in Spain looking after her ailing mother and with Lee set to leave the Sqquare as Danny-Boy Hatchard moves on.
Whitney was pulled out from under the double decker bus by the emergency services while Denise Fox and Martin Fowler were rushed to hospital with their injuries from the crash.
Whitney drifted in and out of consciousness as she was taken to hospital with the doctors concerned over the large blow she hit her head on.
Instead of answering his phone, Lee instead sat in a cafe while his dad Mick kept vigil at Whitney's bedside.
He was only told of the accident when Shakil and Keegan tried to sell the cigarettes he looted from the Square's shop.
As the residents of the square came to realise the horror of what had happened following the heart-stopping scenes the night before, they raced into action to save as many lives as possible.
Danny Dyer’s Mick Carter took early control of the situation, rallying the locals to launch a rescue effort as his son Johnny called emergency services for back up.
First priority became rescuing the school children trapped on the double decker which had ploughed through the market and smashed into a bridge.
With fears the bus could explode, school children including Louise Mitchell, Shakil Kazemi, Bex Fowler, and Keegan tried desperately to jump from the top floor of the double decker.
Meanwhile Denise Fox - who had tried, and failed, to avoid disaster after realising the driver was having a heart attack while at the wheel - lay motionless and bleeding on the lower deck of the bus.
However it wasn't just Denise who was motionless - as Albert Square residents soon discovered market-stall owner Martin Fowler trapped under the wheels.
Wife Stacey was oblivious to the drama unfolding outside her house as she went about house chores with loud music blasting - but was soon alerted to the drama by Kathy Beale.
Denise's sister Kim and her daughter Libby were eventually able to rouse the concussed character and help her free herself from the doomed vehicle.
Meanwhile the emergency services struggled to reach the disaster area due to congestion on the ring road, leading the square to pull together in an impressive team effort to lift the struck bus and pull Martin from underneath.
Away from the drama, Shirley, Tina and Sylvie Carter were safe from the carnage as they found themselves trapped on the tube being held at a red signal.
The ladies speculated the 'something bad' may have happened as the driver informed passengers of an accident ahead on the tracks that was causing them to be delayed under ground.
And with the wait proving to be lengthy, Sylvie struggled to hold her bladder and caused upset for other passengers as she wet herself while seated.
Fiercely loyal Shirley defended her mum and the three ladies found themselves singing wartime songs to cheer their spirits.
Back in the square, the locals began to celebrate as it seemed all lives had been spared following the bus crash, Mick suddenly looked concerned.
His other son, Lee, had not been seen in the drama of the episode, however he also noticed he could hear daughter-in-law Whitney's phone ringing from under the bus.
With the chilling realisation all over Mick's face making it clear that the bus accident perhaps had proved to be fatal, the episode ended with the cliffhanger.
