Holly Willoughby had to borrow shoes from Rochelle Humes after forgetting to bring her high heels to the National Television awards
The This Morning host was almost forced to pair her baby pink ball gown with her trainers after realising her fashion faux pas at the last minute
THIS Morning host Holly Willoughby borrowed heavily pregnant Rochelle Humes' shoes after she FORGOT to bring her footwear to the star-studded event.
The bubbly TV host and presenting pal Phillip Schofield looked super stylish as they collected their going for Best Daytime TV Show at London's O2 Arena last night.
Yet unbeknown to fans, a frazzled Holly VERY narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction just hours before which prompted a mad dash to The Saturday's singer's hotel room to borrow any kind of glam shoe to pair with her stunning baby pink gown.
Opening today's episode of the ITV show, Phil said: "What not many people know is you were lucky last night to be wearing shoes.
"Gosh yes, 30 minutes before I left the hotel to go and do the whole Red Carpet thing, I was getting dressed with a lovely girl called Danielle who helps me get dressed and she went 'where's your shoes?'
"I said 'oh yeah, where are my shoes' and she went 'no where are your shoes' and I said 'I haven't got my shoes, have you got my shoes?'
"And we didn't have any shoes."
Continuing her wardrobe malfunction tale she added: "My husband Dan was with me and I was like 'what do we do, there must be somebody in this hotel'
"I saw Tess Daly's stylist walking into the hotel she must be here or Vernon, so we called Vernon, who said 'we haven't got any but I'm sure Rochelle (Humes) is in your hotel. I'm in a hotel down the road I can;'t get the shoes to you'.
"We didn't have Rochelle's number but we had Marvin's number and he went 'Rochelle, darling, babes, I know you're pregnant but have you got any spare shoes?'
"And she did."
Continuing her fashion faux pas tale, yummy mummy Holly said: "But they weren't the right size - and I was like anything between a four and an eight I'm happy with right now but at the moment I'm going down with gazelles, which is not a good look."
She went on to issue a huge message of thanks and said: "Rochelle thanks so much for your shoes - you saved the day."
As it happened, Rochelle's snazzy pointed nude shoes proved the perfect colour match for Holly's stunning outfit.
They peeked out from under the floor length hemline as she strode out of the south east London venue and onto the show's after-party.
After listening intently Phil then quipped: "They worked really well on the day because they went on a night out afterwards as well."
The duo celebrated late into the night, having being pictured leaving an after party at 3.30am.

Meanwhile the fun-loving pair made sure not to repeat their drunken day-after-the-night-before antics on today's show.
In 2016 after the ITV daytime show scooped a National Television Award Phil, 54, and 35-year-old Holly Willoughby went straight from partying to presenting, still tipsy and wearing their clothes from the night before.
However despite winning again this this year, Phil has revealed that he’s being better behaved and told fans that he’s even managed to put some clean clothes on.
He tweeted: “Oh my! What a night!! But at least I’m not in the same clothes… Thank you so much for your lovely tweets”
He even went a step further towards freshness by treating himself to a bacon sandwich, which he admitted was helping his hangover.
Posting his breakfast on Snapchat he commented: “This is making me feel slightly better… and at least we’re not in last night’s clothes!”
Yet despite not nursing a heavy hangover, their night out seemed to have taken its toll on their voices.
hints of their late night were clearly on display as they took to the air a few hours later, with both of their voices sounding more hoarse than usual.
Holly started by saying: "Thank you thank you thank you, so much for voting."
Phillip added: "We have made it in today, not in brilliant condition if we're truly honest."
Interrupting them, Holly asked: "What's happened to your voice? Did you leave it at the bar?"
